Delta Air Lines promotes Steve Sear

Delta Air Lines promotes Steve Sear

Delta Air Lines has appointed Steve Sear as its senior vice-president of global sales.

Mr Sear, who has held many prestigious travel jobs over the years, most recently worked as Delta's vice-president of global sales.

He has been promoted in recognition of his contribution to the airline's strong financial performance.

Mr Sear played a pivotal role in the integration of the Air France-KLM and Alitalia sales divisions following Delta's merger with Northwest Airlines in 2008.

Delta's sales efforts were recognised by Business Travel News which named it the airline of the year, while Recommend Magazine also hailed its achievements in 2011.

Ed Bastian, Delta president, said: "This promotion reflects the impressive progress our entire sales group has made under Steve's guidance and vision.

"His experience will help us continue to make Delta the strongly preferred airline for corporate travel and agency partners."
