C&K predicts Holidaybreak boost

C&K predicts Holidaybreak boost

Travel firm Cox & Kings (C&K) is expecting a significant revenue boost from its recent acquisition of Holidaybreak over the next fiscal year.

Anil Khandelwal, chief financial officer, C&K Ltd, highlighted Holidaybreak's adventure and education divisions as being particularly fruitful ground for the tour operator.

Speaking to DNA Mr Khandelwal said: "As C&K's existing business has a direct co-relation with these segments, we expect to improve the performance of these divisions by at least 5-7% on an annual basis.

"We also expect to increase capacity utilisation of the education division by 2-3% in the next fiscal."

He explained that while these numbers may appear to be small, they are significant for those divisions and revealed that revenues and the profitability of Holidaybreak is expected to increase from the next financial year.

C&K acquired the London Stock Exchange-listed Holidaybreak for £312 million.
