Holidays 4U ceases trading

Turkey specialist Holidays 4U has collapsed, with an estimated 12,000 holidaymakers still abroad. 

The company informed the Civil Aviation Authority that their credit has dried up, and administrators have now been appointed. 

The administrators said "The company has suffered because of the difficulties faced by the travel industry during 2010 and 2011, as a result of the economic downturn. The director has determined that the business is no longer able to trade and placed the company into administration".

In a statement on the CAA website, it stated that Holidays 4U have ceased trading immediately. It said all customers currently abroad can continue their holiday as normal, and any customers with pre-booked package holidays will be issued with a full refund.

The Brighton-based company also had offices in Marmaris and Bodrum, and specialised in selling flights and packaged holidays to Turkey.
